Our mission is to support women through every stage of pregnancy and beyond with an honest, realistic, and empowering approach. We want to help women feel strong, confident, and supported, focusing on balance and health while still working towards meaningful goals that deliver real results.

Empowering Support

Since launching Shift and Lift coaching in 2022, we’ve been inspired by the incredible journeys of our clients, especially the amazing news of pregnancies within our community. It felt like a natural next step for us to expand our coaching to include pre and postnatal support, so we can continue helping women feel strong, confident, and supported through every stage of motherhood.

 

Our team is passionate about supporting women through every stage of pregnancy and beyond. Laura, an early pregnancy specialist nurse, brings her clinical expertise to every client, while Emily is currently experiencing pregnancy firsthand, and Rachel has been through two pregnancies while achieving incredible postnatal results. Together, we combine real-life experience with specialist pre- and postnatal fitness certifications to help you feel strong, confident, and supported every step of the way.

We’re proud to now offer bespoke support for both prenatal and postnatal clients. This new service allows us to continue our mission of helping women feel strong, confident, and in control of their health at every stage of life.

Pre-Natal - Can I exercise safely?

For most healthy pregnancies, regular exercise is not only safe but highly recommended. Staying active can benefit both you and your baby by reducing common discomforts like back pain and swelling, improving sleep and mood, and boosting energy levels. Exercise can also help prepare your body for childbirth by building stamina, strength, and overall resilience. Always check with your doctor or midwife before starting any new fitness routine.

Why exercise and nutritional support is important post partum?

Returning to exercise after giving birth can be hugely beneficial for both your body and mind. It helps rebuild strength, especially in your core and pelvic floor, and improves overall fitness and energy levels. Beyond the physical benefits, staying active can reduce stress, support mental health, and help manage symptoms of postpartum low mood or anxiety. Nutritional support is equally important, giving your body the fuel it needs to recover, support breastfeeding if relevant, and maintain energy. Exercise and nutrition together can help you reconnect with your body, regain confidence, and feel more in control as you navigate the early stages of motherhood. Always listen to your body and get clearance from your doctor or midwife before starting a new routine.
